EVDO??
Does anyone know when we are releasing evdo in other markets. is it true i heard we have the equip in place just waiting for the test results from mil. anyone from up there, how is the new services like tv and radio... i have a lot of interested people here...

I have heard so many dates and stories that I don't know what to believe. So I choose to believe, that until my EVDO works, it isn't going to.
I've heard that the entire network will be EVDO by the middle of the year, and the same week I heard that only metro areas would be EVDO and that would take 2 years to get done. I have heard every story in between, so I don't believe any of it. Sorry, I can't be more helpful.

I would be more inlined to go with metro areas by mid year. Even the larger carriers are still working on opening all their metro markets. Maybe I am wrong and hopefully I am, but we'll see!

doubtful, it will probably be 2008. the cost is incredible to get it up and running, and they want a substantial amount of time to ensure it's perfection in the Milwaukee area before it's wide release.

Well lets just say that what I heard is from an extremely reliable source. I have been with USC for nearly 5 years and the source I received this info from is very reliable. Who knows... could be wrong.

Anyone know if it is possible that USCC quietly turned on EVDO in Madison, WI, on Friday, 1-19? My easyedge service suddenly seems much faster!

EVDO won't improve your easyedge unless you have an EVDO phone. More likely they updated a tower near you with new data setup. It's possible that's part of the EVDO upgrade, upgrading other data stuf.
