U.S Cellular Commercials: I love them!!!

I love wataching the U.S. Cellular commercials on TV. They are so funny! Who is that lady who is on all of those commercials? My favorite ad is where she is running up and down the street waving a cell phone showing how non-U.S. Cellular customers try to get a good signal. giggle, it cracks me up!

EVDO,,,what it is

For some who do not know what EV DO stands for it is EVolution Data Only. Wireless has sort of grown by generations 1st Generation (staticy cellular), 2nd Gen (the original digital phone), 3rd Generation was the 1XRTT or higher capacity networks. This meant greater voice call capacity (fewer dropped calls for customers and less hardware for carriers).

The next step or 4th Generation had a couple of options one was increase the speed of data ONLY on the network or go one step further and increase voice capacity and data speeds. EVDO is the faster data speed only option. Voice capacity remains the same. Most carriers skipped this step except Verizon.

Next will be Wide Band CDMA or CDMA2000. If I remember correctly this is the next s...

Moto V323

Dang, I sure like the looks of that Moto V323. Does anyone have a REALISTIC idea of when USCC will actually sell it?? I presently own a V710 which is awesome but I like the looks of the V323 a bit better. And, I will only go with Motorola cuz of their superior reliabiltiy and design etc. ( hi Alejandro ). 😉
So, what's the scoop on the V323????????

Will USCC ever get one? I used one the other day on Cingular's service and it is a neat phone.

LG VX/UX5000

I went to my USCC agent this morning and he said that the phone just passed testing and will be available in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know if this phone would be a wise purchase?

Moto reliability

I've never had any problems with my numerous Motos in the past. Excellent reliability. Far fewer returns than LG or Kyocera. My local USCC dealers say they get fewer Moto problems on a percentage basis than any other brand. It is true that the two-prong recharging cord is archaic, but so what. You just have to take an extra 4 seconds of care when lining up the plugs. So, 4 seconds of wasted time every other day. I can live with that.

Month 25 of 2 year contract

My contract is up this month. I like my plan, am not changing my phones. But I have a question;

What happens on my contract?

Is it month to month? Left open, renews automatically?

what's the deal?

What advantages do I now have?

Thanks in advance! 😁

USCC new phones

USCC has added many phones to their list of soon to be released for the last quarter of the year. Looks like they are throwing some samsung phones in aswell.

Nokia 6255
Nokia 6235
Kyocera Milan (kx9c)
Kyocera kx16
Samsung 570
Samsung 670
Motorola v323
RIM 7250
LG ux5000

Don't know which will be out but they are in testing. But I've heard the nokia 6255 will be September or October.

What phone should I get??

I'm interested in switching over to USCC, but I have not found a phone that I like. I've been waiting for the 6255 to come out, but at the rate that its going, I'll never switch over if I wait for it to come out.

Can someone please help me pick a phone?? I have no idea what to choose and I'm ready to switch over ASAP! 😕

Thanks!

Been shopping!!!

How come on USCC's web site teh same phone is different prices in different markets?

One market a phone is $39.95 with $30 rebate. Net $9.95 COST

In another teh phone is 1 penny and I still get the $30 rebate. I am PAID (that's PAID) $29.99 to take the phone.

3 entry level phones are that way.
