U.S. Cellular Coverage Expansion

I've had my U.S. Cellular phone a few months now, and noticed obviously they have little coverage across the Minnesota boarder from where I live in Northern Iowa (Only in the Rochester, Austin, Albert Lea and eastern sections of the I90 areas). Anyone know if they plan on expanding coverage in Minnesota? Also they have service and offer plans right up to the St. Louis suburbs. My hope is with me going down there to visit family a few times a year that eventually they will cover the STL area. Maybe there is a chance of them expanding there with them going into Chicago and Oklahoma City recently? I'm curious if the company has any expansion plans in the Local calling area in the mid-west, or really anywhere in general. Thanks! 🙂

Easyedge

I actually work in the Easyedge Que for USCC and I have noticed that many customer's don't understand how Easyedge works. I'm not too sure if this in on the sales rep or agent's end where they educate the customer on the usage. Or if it the customer not listening! Any input? 😕

Fincher: Side keys

I wouldn't hate side keys so much if they would just put them on the top half of the phone. Also, selecting "disable" on the LG's doesn't do enough. Voice memo still comes up. Beeps still happen. Guess I'll hafta go out and buy me some super-glue, cement, and a hacksaw if I want any of the newer phones. 😲
By the way, Samsung does a great job on their phones in this regard. I wish the USCC "big-wigs" would check out the phones for sale at a Sprint store. It'd open up their eyes.

BK77 E815

Correction. It is not the E810. It is the Moto E815. Yes, it has a second side button on the left hand side, but at least it's not the FU*&$^# voice-memo button. It is a speakerphone button. Plus, it is located on the top 40% of the phone, so I can avoid it easily enough.

Samsung phones

You're correct about the Samsung phones. Nice looks, and outside buttons are placed way up high. The A680 is a good example, plus, it gets a User Rating of 4.43. Unfortunately, it's not for U.S. Cellular.

BK77 E815

At least the speaker button on the 815 is located up high. Plus, it is relatively harmless in comparison to the voice-memo button. I have nightmares about 2 things. Tornadoes and voice-memo buttons :-O

Maximus and BK77 -- Buttons

I too hate side-buttons on cell phones. My first criteria in picking out a new phone is always the lack of outside buttons. 👿

Re: 6100

I have to agree with Maximus on this one. U.S. Cellular phones are generally one or two years behind Altell and Sprint. Cingular has nice phones too, but GSM is not an option in my neck of the woods.

GLC0484 Join now, phone later.

Thanks for your response, but the ppl at USCC told me it WILL work out for me. I take out a month-by-month contract now. 1000 anytime minutes for $39.99. Then, in 5 or 6 years when USCC gets the V815 I can start a new 2-year contract with them. I am currently not under contract with USCC. Thanks again.

Prorated min

I know that some stores and some agents are now having the customer sign for info that they are being told at the store. As a little bonus some are also putting on what the prorated min will be for that cycle. Its a thought that helps us in the care centers b/c we do call stores and agents about reguarding what is on the customers contract. If that form accompanies the contact, it makes it so much easier to explain what they are told at the store.

All-you-can -call-promo

To the assocaites that sell in the Chicago markets, and the customers:

Do you see this promo being sold a lot, and the nation-wide promo's? They seem like they would do very well.

Or is it not a demand? Looks like the cost went down too.

Unlocked Phones

Does anyone know if older CDMA and TDMA phones are unlocked to use on networks such as Alltel?

6100

If the LG 6100 did NOT have that dumb-azz voice memo button on the side ( where my FINGERS are supposed to go ) I'd be a USCC customer today. But, since it does, I'm forced to wait until the right phone comes along. In the meantime, Sprint gets my money :-(

6100

Attention USCC. Start paying attention to what the PEOPLE are saying. Don't give us a piece if zhit like the 6100 with so many side buttons it'll double as a pair of pants.
