nokia 6085
I am a Cellular One dealer in Michigan. I have been trying a 6085 for a couple of days and I have one major problem. The phone will not handoff a call. If I start on the cellular one network and drive into a roaming network the call has to either be dropped or hung up to pick up the roaming signal. If I start in a roaming area and drive into a cellular one area with full signal the call will not handoff. You have to hang and lose signal to pick up the other tower. This has happened in 5 different areas and not with other phones that I have used (6126,razr). Just wondering if anybody knows of any settings that can be changed or if the phone is programmed this way?

try sending an ota to the phone if you are a dealer that might help. i am in customer care and i have not heard of this problem with any other nokia 6085, and i handle those daily.

I guess it was not a problem with the phone it is a handoff issue, looks like there is no handoff agreement in the surrounding 5 counties. We put a Razr in the same situation and it would not handoff the call either. Can't imagine why we have so many complaints about dropped calls and why our deactivation rate is 1 out of every 5 phones sold.
