Spending Limit Accounts..
Okay, I know the reason behind them.. but the way its ran is just scandalous.
Example:
Customer, due to their credit, gets setup on a $125 spending limit. The bill prints at the end of the cycle and the following day, (day 1 of new bill cycle) the recurring charges post to the account causing the service to be suspended for exceeding the spending limit.
Basically they get screwed because they are shutoff before they even get a chance to see their bill, whether-alone pay it..
Thats just my opinion, but there has to be a better way..
I get tired of getting calls from customers and having to explain to them.. well, I know your balance is $75 for the bill, yes..yes sir, the bill which you havent even received in the mail be...

For what I understand though, they chose the $125 spending limit so they wouldn't have to pay a deposit! If they paid the deposit up front, then there is no spending limit.

Ah, I see. IMO, they should just make them pay the deposit though. I think they would have less involuntary suspends due to non-pay that way.

No that isn't true about the deposit...the customers are either put on deposit or spending limit how their credit comes back.....
I think with spending limits though the customers that are in Anchorage and Erie were the ones shut off right away....The customers weren't....

If the customer comes back as a G or H, with a spending limit, they can in fact elect to pay a deposit and get their decision code switched to a C/125. It's that simple. As long as the customer fully understands the spending limit, it's usually no problem...
