iPhone soon in non-AT&T area
I was looking forward to an iPhone like a kid at Christmas since it was announced. Then my son got one in a more civilized area and I discovered I can't have one due to living in "no mans land".
BUT since the merger with Cellular One (Dobson) it looks like Christmas will come to Siberia after all.

That's providing Dobson spent some money putting up GPRS & EDGE. It's anybody's guess if under AT&T, if any money will be spent to upgrade the network up there, or in any of the acquired areas.

Alaska shouldn't have that much of an issue. Then again, I could be wrong. We'll see what unfolds when the takeover starts. I just don't want the Alaskans to start another revolt because that can be scary.
