The Dec 9th "merger" date is a load of BS.

I have been waiting out for the Dec 9 date to get the AT&T BB-8310. I avoided the store yesterday here in Alaska as there were people lining up 6 hours before store opening to get their iPhones and wait times were into the hours.
So I went to the store this morning and waited a couple of hours to get served only to be told that the only phone available to me at this time to make the switch to AT&T is the iPhone and I would need to but that phone. They said I could put my name on a list and when other phones are available then they would call me.
I then called CellOne customer service (OHIO) and was told the same thing. He suggested I buy an unlocked 8310 and then go back to cellone to set it up. So I am back where I started and...

Unfortunately, I can't prove you wrong, but let me tell you some employee's are just as frustrated as you are. We did not know that Alaska customers could not migrate to AT&T service as of Dec 9th until probably just a couple of days before. I know myself and co-workers in customer care were reviewing information with Alaska customers especially when you guys were telling us the Dec 9th date was being advertised everywhere. I wish I had better news for you, but they haven't even told us yet when the remaining phones will be available to you.
