Help with LG products...
I need a new phone. I'm on Verizon Wireless, and they really have the worst phone lineup of all carriers. GSM beats phone selection hands down. Anyway, I'm interested in the LG 6000 or 7000. Can you connect either one of these phones to your PC via infrared or some other way? I want to be able to synch up with Outlook on my computer and to be able to backup my data. The 7000 has MP3 capability, so I assume there is a way to copy MP3's directly to the phone via a computer, correct? But I can't find any information on the connectivity options....help! Also, if you own either one of these phones, let me know how you like them...or hate them. I heard from friends and on the web that the LG 6000 and 7000 are both good phones.

You best source of information would be to dial *611 from your handset and ask Technical Support this question.

A Mobile Office Kit is the only way you can connect a 6000 or 7000 to your PC. The mobile office kit is only used for connecting to the internet, you essentially use your phone as a modem to connect to the internet on your PC. The mp3s, if any, will be available in Get it Now. If you want Outlook Syncing I would recommend a Blackberry or Treo
...
Treo, definitely. It's a fairly easy-to-use device. In my experience, only the most tech-savvy among us will get a lot of use out of a Crackberry.

if you do get the treo or blackberry be sure to add the unlmt data package

I don't know why VZW even offers the limited data packages. That almost never ends well - it's too hard to keep up with how much data you're pushing through.

Supposedly the EDR will be available to check just like #MIN in the future
...
In most areas, #646 or #MIN will already display current KB usage.

That is false also, the Blackberry is a very easy device to use and is probably the most robust device offered if you're looking for a push solution to keep your calendar, contacts and email updated between your phone and PC.
...
No that is not true, you can use the quicklink phonebook program to transfer your contacts and calendar from outlook to your phone and vica versa. That program is included with the Mobile Office kit.
