Razr V3C Warranty

Today I took my GF's pink V3C to have looked at and they told me they can't do anything because there was water damage. So they showed me the water damage indicator on the phone and there was a small line (very small... maybe 1/16" the size of the sticker) that was red and not the whole sticker. Is this truly considered water damage or does the whole sticker need to be red??? Thanks

i don't work at VZW but I would think so since it shows signs of being wet. The thing doesn't have to be soaked to have water damage.

Yep I thought that was kinda weak too, but it makes sense because thats one of two ports that need to be closed to retain its water resistance.

Yeah, there are several places that need to be locked or latched for the phone to retain its water resistance. I was a little shocked when I noticed the water indicator too, but it makes sense when you really think about it. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see someone bring that back with water damage at some point.

If the sticker is red at all then warranty is voided.
