Customer service nightmare
Last week, shortly after telling Verizon's sales person I was switching to T-Mobile because their Customer Service is a disaster, I began getting three to five calls each day that hang up as soon as I answer. Doing a *69 revealed they were coming from 1-800-470-0768, Verizon Wireless' number. Calling a supervisor (Jasen) resulted in an apology and him putting me on their Do Not Call list, which he says won't take effect for 30 days. He also said this is a "known problem with Verizon's auto-dialer" for which Verizon has no solution. It's only noon and so far today I've gotten three calls from them, two hangups and an...

Several calls later, the bill was fixed. It was a pain but the reps were all really nice. I tried them later on when I was having trouble with another carrier and they added a line under my name that wasn't even my number. They fixed that as well.
Their billing dept might not be all that but they were nice and friendly. Good luck I wish you the best.

Wow, it's amazing how different us humans can be. I hate needles in my eyes, I prefer the hang ups myself.

I don't know what 10 penny nails is. ๐

It is a big nail.
a term that indicates a nail that is three (3.0) inches (7.6 centimeters) long. "Ten-penny" is abbreviated as "10d" and applies to common, box, casing, and finishing nails. The term originates from the price per hundred nails; 10 pennies for 100 three-inch nails.
Not trying to belittle your problem, but I know folks who had T-Mobile, also ranked high in terms of customer service, who also have similar stories as you. The bottom line; you can have a bad experience anywhere you go.
I hope they keep Nextel's customer service reps and dump theirs, most of whom can't speak English or figure out what to do for you, especially if you are an IDEN customer.
I believe a lot of Sprint's problems are due to a bad public image, partly because of bad advertising and marketing, but also their outsourcing of CS. When you have a problem with your wireless phone and/or service, the last thing in the world you want is to spend 45 minutes on the phone waiting, trying to get some answers, and dealing with folks who speak little or no English, and can't understand you or vice versa.
One thing that has kept Verizon, T-Mobile, and formerly Nextel on ...

Anyway, I'm surprised to hear that. I haven't heard that complaint before. Sucks that you're having trouble with them. I haven't had any problems with Verizon since I started their service several years ago.
With the help of all my friends who publish those reliable web blogs, I'm posting evidence that links all four carriers, not only to the JFK murder, but to 911. I have proof that these guys conspired with the hijackers to crash the twin towers and Pentagon.
The Apollo moon landing? A hoax as well. Perpetrated by these cellular saboteurs to create the very businesses they now run. It's all a big conspiracy by the man, to keep us average citizens in the dark.
