I just added broadband access and tethering to my Blackberry device from VZW. Does the Venturi software really make a difference in throughput/speed?
Just curious.

no, uninstall it from your computer. It does absolutely nothing.

Uninstalling will actually improve performance in most conditions 🙂

The only reason the software is there is because smithmicro used to be under license to bundle the software. All new Versions of VZ Access manager no longer come with it.
😁 Yay 😁

I was wondering why it was not installed with the VZ access software.

Yeah I work in VZW tech support and Venturi is always the first thing I check to see if its installed on a cust pc if they are having problems and if they are I remove it right away. In theory it is a great program its made to compress images so web pages load quicker, but in reality that thing causes soooo many more problems. From not being about to connect, pages not loading, images all messes up, you name it it probably causes it. As prev noted all the newer versions of the VZAccess manager software no longer come with it. If I see it we uninstall it, restart pc, open IE and clear the cache. And always try to get the cust on a better web browser such as Firefox or Opera.
