Hey there!
I'm looking into having my dad add a line to his plan for me, but I have some ?'s.
The phone that comes cheapest with the plan (Cheap is very important to me!) is the LG 3200. I hear it's a good phone, but it's difficult to get ringtones, games, etc. Do you guys think that Verizon will make any ringtones or games for it in the future, by adding it to the Get it Now thingy?
Also, when were at the cell phone provider store, he mentioned that Verizon was about to launch a big new plan on the 27th of September ( I live in NW Iowa if that helps at all). Do you guys know anything about this?
Ah, and TXT messaging---now that's cool! My fav. part about it is being able to send messages to friends' email inboxes. Does doing ...

With Text(TXT) messaging, how long does it take for the message to get sent to the other persons phone? Is it instant? I tried sending one to my dad's phone from the Verizon website, and it took like 7 minutes.
Also, does it cost extra to use the VTEXT stuff, or is that just the same thing as TXT messaging?

Goodness you really DO want a phone! I wish more customers asked these questions. Usually I get all the cheap and stupid customers that don't give a crap about anything. I tend to see them about 30 days later screaming about something. The more info you have the better!
The most inexpensive plan worth your time is the america choice $39.99 a month. Includes 400 minutes, IN-Calling, unlimited nights/weekends starting at 9pm, unlimited no-charge long distance. Watch yourself on this plan. 80% of my billing issue customers are from this plan and their overages.
Text messaging is nearly instantaneous. Perhaps a 2-5 second delay in send and receive at MOST when sending from the phone itself. Or at least that is my experience with texting. T...

I know I can get stuff at vtext.com---but do you think they'll make it compatable with Get it Now? I probably won't ue it, but it'd still be cool to have.
And about the txt messaging speed; do you guys know where I can get info on how fast it is, as in how long it takes to get to the other person? I live in NorthWest Iowa, and Verizon Wireless pretty much rules supreme here as carrier.
Oh, and about this "IN" thing....If I'm "IN", can I call any verizion wireless constumer for free (costing no minutes), or only people who are also "IN"?

vtext and get it now are two different avenues of getting ringtones and/or pics. The Lg 3200 doesnt have get it now so its available on vtext, my audiovox has get it now so I cant get ringtones from vtext. I personally would step up to the lg 4500--get in now, awesome speakerphone, and proven durability.
Txt msging is instantaneous given you and the person you're sending, or vice versa, the msg to has 3 or more bars of signal strength(from their carriers network).
You can call any VZW customer for free as long as you are on the in network coverage area(not roaming or on the extended network).
Side note about calling plans. Local plans work very well for some people. A local plan is usually the state you live plus a neighboring st...
