Get a txt alert before you go over your minutes...
I am a employee at Verizon Wireless at one of the call center and just came across a site created by a few Cornell University students. It allows customers to download a program that resides in your system tray and alerts you via txt or email that you are at a set amount of minutes that you enter to let you know before you go over on your minutes on your price plan. I agree. All of the carriers should offer this option....but then, they would lose all that money from people going over their minutes...

I honestly don't see how entering a code into your phone to view your min is so hard. When I tell customers the code to check their min, or their sms, they're THRILLED. They say, "OH, really? Hey, that's cool!" I honestly have never had anyone say that there was anything wrong with it. Maybe it's in the presentation or something. If you make it SOUND like something bad, then they FEEL that it's something bad. If you position it as a great option, you make them feel better about it. And really, it is a great option. It puts the control into the customer's hands.

Well put. I do the same with VCAST $10.00 text and RBT on all Vcast phones. It's how you position it.
