Mobile phones boost brain tumor risk by up to 270 percent

(NewsTarget) Using a cell phone regularly โ€“ even a modern one โ€“ raises the risk of developing a brain tumor for many users, a new Finnish study published online in the International Journal of Cancer. The study, done by a collection of researchers from many universities and led by Anna Lahkola of the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority in Finland, found firm corollary evidence that using a cell phone causes the risk of getting a brain tumor called a glioma to rise by 40 to 270 percent on the side of the head preferred for using the phone.

carpal tunnel here we come ๐Ÿ™‚ we just cant win anymore.. everything is going to hurt/kill us.. there is probably something in my strawberry wave smoothie that is going to give me cancer

I'm on the phone nearly everyday, longest time i've been on was 3 hours, average 4-6 minutes per call, 3 calls average a day, 6 on busy days. Someday I'll grow a little radioactive Hulk on my brain for exess use...

Now imagine your brain has a thick skull to shield the radaiton somepart. But how about the people who carry the phone in their pocket. Yeah the phone that gives us constant radiation. Yeah you know (front pocket) near your balls, or shirt pocket (heart) you know those tissues arent protected.

Conclusion:
"We found no evidence for an association between tumor risk and cellular telephone use among either short-term or long-term users. Moreover, the narrow confidence intervals provide evidence that any large association of risk of cancer and cellular telephone use can be excluded."
