Hey all, my wife and I are coming from Cingular to Verizon and was wondering what phones you guys all use and why did you pick them? Plus, any reccomendations any of you have for us, would be helpful. Thanks.

A change for the Better... I personally have a LG V, But I would now recommend The LG En V 9900. Or if you have nimble fingers the new Sam U740. Having a qwerty keyboard is a must for me...I Used to have a Blackberry 7100 with T-mobile but got rid of it because it was IMPOSSIBLE to dial Vanity numbers, with the Sam U740 you can when in Landscape, Totally Awesome. If you need something a little more advanced than just a phone, a treo is always the way to go, I personally don't have one for two reasons, I don't need it and it is too big for me. I would recommend the 700w it will basically contact the space shuttle 🤣 ... If you really refuse to get a phone with a keyboard (although you will be amazed at how much it comes in handy) the LG 8...

Thank you for all of your input. I want the new enV, but it costs alittle to much for me. Im stuck between the LG- vx 8600 and the samsung sch-a930. and maybe even the lg-8500.

dont get the 930...its too old! And don't buy a phone off of amazon...buy it from a corp store or circuit city.

I Agree don't get the 930, however I don't get it off amazon. I am a Manager of an indirect VZW dealer, we give way better deals than corp. if you came to my store i would give you the 8600 for VERY cheap, I am sure you can find a indirect dealer that will do it for you close to free. Corporate stores are almost always a rip, find an honest indirect store/kiosk and you will never go to corporate again.
...
yeah, but then you have to deal with the indirects for everything. verizon does not have to honor any warranties unless you purchase from a corp store.
And ripoff?? I dont know about that. I got the 8300 for free a week after it came out!

BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only with in the first 30 days, but after that you can go to any corporate store.
yeah you got it for free, but did you pay tax. did you get all your acc for free or did they try to charge you $20 a piece for everything.
So many people have a negative view toward indirect dealers. I have many customers that come back to me for every phone they get no matter what company. For two reasons:
1. They always get the absolute best price possible
2. I take care of them if anything ever happens, whether it be getting them a warranty phone through customer service or just showing them how to us the vz navigator. Corporate stores around my area are always busy, the people are rude, and you feel like your just being pr...

i don't have a problem with indirects...sometimes for my own piece of mind i just like to buy stuff from corporate stores. Plus if I ever have a problem while traveling, I can go to any corporate without issue.
I had a bad experience with not buying a phone from a corporate store, so to be on the safe side I just buy from the corp store (plus i have a couple of reps that I like to throw the business to). And they have been pretty good about accessories and treating me right.
The one thing about going into corp stores is that you have to know what you want and not back down. you can pretty much get anything done if you stand your ground.
Once again, nothing against what YOU might do, or how YOU run your business, but not all i...

have you indirects ever gotten people coming in for the BOGOs or other deals only offered at the corp stores?
...
for bogos, Normally i do the phone for half the price that the corporate store does so it still adds up to the same price, just different wording

My advice is stay at Cingular. You have better phone selection where you are and at least in my area the service is the same. Why are you leaving?

Discounts apply to: Equipment, Accessories, Monthly access and Activation fees
You might be eligible for discounting if:
* You have AAA membership

So those higher end phones might be within reach of your pricing...
