A question for any Verizon Tech reps.

So I activated an unlcoked/unbranded SLVR L7C on my verizon account. And the strange thing is that with this phone I can actually receive picture messages, but I can't send them. I have had other unlocked phones in the past, and the only thing that worked was text messages. Is there a setting I can change to send as well since receiving them works??? I turned off EV-DO, does that have anything to do with it? Thanks for any help...

P.S. Just for kicks I went to my local Verizon agent in the mall to ask this question and showed him the phone. After he almost fainted when he saw the phone, he was very quick to say he couldn't help me and that I had to go see a Cingular or T-Mobile rep because they were the ones selling those phones. ...

That agent must be very stupid, because he should know that your phone wasn't a GSM phone cause its activated on a Verizon Account.

Yeah, I thought that was common knowledge. Especially if you actually WORK FOR Verizon.

Security Code for VZW is 000000, or if you have the unlock code use that.

New Entry (OK)

Enter the below....
Name: VZW
homepage: http://homepage

Password: VZW
Gateway IP: 066.174.077.060
Gateway1:
Service Type 1: HTTP

Repeat for Gateway IP 2-LXL port 2.

Lord Obento,
Thanks for the response. I got into the menu, went into web sessions, and clicked on new entry, and the only things that were there were Name, which I did VZW like you said, Service Type 1, which was already http, Port 1 was already 9201, Service Type 2 was http, and Port 2 was 9201. There were no other options. Where do I find Gateway IP and all that other stuff you mentioned?? Thank you very much in advance for any additional help.

Should be in that same list... although I was read this info from a E815 programing since it uses the Moto UI. Maybe when the SLVR comes out for VZW the IP programing will be available. They are usually the same reguardless of UI.

That's weird. Yeah, the only things listed were the ones I told you about. Looks like there is some differences in the UI's, at least on the version I have. Thanks anyway.
