I'm looking at possibly getting new service with Verizon and thinking about the Samsung i730. When I pick the phone on Verizon's website it takes me to pick a plan but the only ones that come up are phone & data bundled packages. I'm looking for a family plan and don't necessarily want/need a data plan, I just really want the qwerty keyboard for text messages and the ability to sync up with outlook.

I'm using the Q w/o the data plan because of same reasons of using the qwerty keyboard and sync up with my outlook as well. You might just order the phone online and when you call to activate your phone, you might want them to change your plan.

Have you thought about using the LG VX9900? You can sync with outlook, and the larger keys really come in handy for texting. Just a thought.
