If you are on the Local digital choice plan you have to change your rate plan to a new one on or after 9/27/04 to get the advantage of the larger Local Verizon to Verizon local IN network free calling.

Ummm, no. At least, not in the South Area.
I quote from the QRG: "New & existing LDC customers that have IN Calling with current selling LDC footprints will automatically recieve the expanded Local IN Calling area."
The South Area LDC BGSAs that are affected are: Texas 588, Gulf Coast 592, Florida 632, Alabama 645, Tennessee 646, Georgia 647 & Carolina 648.
The way I understand this is, as long as you have MTM minutes on your acc...

DP is talking about the local plan users that want to use the Nationwide network without roaming charges.
EXAMPLE: LDP $25. Wants to go on vacation. To use the Nationwide network w/o roaming - need to switch to a America Choice plan.
Also the new coverage map is ENORMOUS. A large chunk on Nevada near Reno is now covered. More coverage in Oregon, Washington state, Idaho, Montana. Kentucky is fully VZW owned analog (non-roaming). Mississippi Is fully VZW owned analog now instead of analog roam. Those two states can go digital anytime we are ALLOWED to purchase the spectrum needed in the areas. Texas tightened up a little more.
I'd say we cover closer to 95% of the major markets now instead ...

Regardless of what color it is.. It is STILL IN-NETWORK calling. Anyone within the last what... 8 months has unlimited IN-Calling right? So they should *in theory* get the advantage of the expanded IN-Calling simply cause they have IN-Calling.
Perhaps BowWoW was referring to those that still have 1k M2M? I can understand they wouldn't get the advantage of the newer expanded IN-Calling network.. Wait still though they would get the expanded network.. Ugh it's kinda hard to grasp the concept there BowWow. I'm trying to figure it out on paper and I just can't. Not to say that you aren't right! It just doesn't make sense to NOT give it to everyone. If that is true that is a mistake on VZW's part.
Regardless of the current plan you are on, to get the extended In-Network area, you must be on a plan that originates on or after 9/27/04, otherwise, your phone will not automatically switch to the expanded area.
Also, not all extended networks are affected.
With the expanded area, your phones roaming indicator will display one of four ways:
No indicator, Verizon Wireless banner:
You are on the primary network, all digital features available, in-network works as normal.
No indicator Extended Network banner:
You are on an extended network, digital features not available, in-network works as normal.
Flashing indicator Extended Network banner:
You are on an extended network, digital featur...
