well i guess that verizon has thrown their hat in the ring in wv ... but why did they buy a sub par local gsm carrier and then change over to cdma seems very expensive to me .... and thoughts on this or the poss alltel buyout

Did you see the phonescoop article about this. It seems very pro Verizon. Of the three front runners for the Alltel buyout, Verizon seems to benefit the most from aquiring them. Would be the fastest and easiest way to get back up there at #1!

in west virginia verizon wanted the spectrum they can put up a CDMA antenna fairly cheaply at least it's not the land and the tower they have to build. plus there was no other way of getting the spectrum in that area.

yea im curious how this will work . b/c wv wireless had really really ****ty coverage . Verizon w will have to put alot of extra towers in to fill theese gaps or have roaming agreements with cdma partners ? is this the case or are you guys really gonna put that many new towers in ?
