My wife and i just got two new 8500's....hers feels rock solid...mine on the other hand slides left to right slightly wehn the side buttons are pressed or it is picked up...can alos feel or hear a little clicking noise...is this normal? anyone else have this? should I sawp it out as it will lead to other things/ I just hate, as many of you can understand bringing it back and having to reload my contacts and stuff....only reason I ask is b/c her's does not do this.

thanks everyone for taking the time to answer!

that is not abnormal for the choco, give your wife's a few weeks and it will loosen up as well. If you are worried about it though get it swapped, they are usually pretty stiff when new.

I just thought that the movement was coming from a gap at the top between the top piece and the base...i get so paranoid with a new phone..thanks again and look forward to response!

This is normal for this phone...mine has the same gap...the gap is there to prevent the camera from sliding against the back piece everytime you slide it...this shouldnt cause any problems later on mine has been like that for about four months now and nothing has gone wrong with it..and if you do get it switched out most likely the new one will end up doing the same thing anyways...
