Wondering how it works...if my phone has something wrong within the year and i take it to verizon do they give me a new phone or what?
If they don't...is there a number to call LG and exchange it for a new one under warranty?
thanks folks..not sure how it works..confused!

Either way will work. You can call CS and have them send you a FRU or go to a corp store and get a FRU. The replacements are refurbished.

If you call LG you will probably have to send your phone in for repair.

The warranty covers any manufacturers defects within the first year.

If you go through Verizon for the warranty, you don't get a brand new phone, you get a refurbished model.

Going through the actual manufacturer themselves, they will either fix whatever is wrong and send your old phone back or they will replace it. Not 100% sure with them, but I think they may do refurbs as well.

Either way, you will have to give whoever you go through your phone so it can be checked out. If the problem is the result of physical/liquid/customer damage, the warranty is void. Verizon will bill you for the cost of the replacement phone, the manufacturer will just send you phone back unrepaired or give you the option to pay for repairs.

If a manufacture defect with no sign of water/physical damage, then a Store or 611 tech can swap it out for a re-furb unit. If you use the manufacture, they will ask you to mail the phone to them and in 6-8 weeks you can get your phone back repaired.
