vzwaa

your thoughts and comments on the new program verizon is rolling out on March 26th. It sounds to me that is is going to be a great proram as long as verizon wireless takes back used phones like they are saying they are.

pretty much what the program does is allows new customers to "test drive" the network for up to thirty days and if they are not satisfied they can return the phone and have absoloutly no charges for minutes, act fees or additional charges from agents/retailers for bringing back a used phone as long as they port the number to another carrier within that 30 days.

well kinda because there are certain things thet have to be done like return phone, port and so on so i think maybe there might be both but relly dont know. if you are a retailer or agent you should get a certified letter from verizon sometime soon because i got mine today and really didnt gather too much info bout worry free guarantee as to if it is staying or going.

no, i believe it will be in addition to or added as one of the WFG tiers. The WFG is changing to 30 days on March 26th as well

As I understand it the WFG is changing to 30 days and if the number is ported OUT within those 30 days then everything is waived.

it has to be within 30 though. There is no fudging the date anymore. If the activation date is 3/20 and they don't actually do the OTA until 4/10 it is a 10 day deal from what I understand.

for the "no charges" the customer *MUST* port-out the # to another provider within the Test Drive (30days) if they feel the VZW network is not the best / feel service will be better with another carrier!!! A "return" and a "port-out" are VERY different and will be handled VERY differently! "Return" within 30 days = you pay for everything you used and get a refund on equipment! "Port-out" within 30 days you do not pay for what you used and get a refund on equipment!

Although the Test Drive program is a HUGE step and is going to be heard very loudly, the communication and educating of this program and terms is going to be the biggest challenge! I hope the sales teams are reviewing their Test Drive materials and being tested on the terms an...

very good point. can't wait for that situation to come about. the customer will say they were all one minute calls because they kept losing service. lol. hopefully there will be strict terms and conditions for situations like this

The problem with the 15 day is any prorates caused by disconnecting service end up making the bill 1. high and 2. confusing. This eliminates that because we don't prorate for the partial month a. and b. the first bill cycles within 30 days of activation and by then you'll know whether you're keeping the phone.

The disclosure for this is going to be out of control.

This will be a great way to pitch VZW, but of course it will make us look even more arrogant, but I guess if you can back it up.....

Dude, its going to look badass in print and on TV, I think this will be huge if they market it right.

Nah! wait until the iPhone comes out. That's when the fun will really start!
I wouldn't be too excited to lose my Alltel plan for one of Vz's. If Vz indeed buys Alltel, then those poor customer have a have thing to swallow..

So if you are elligible it should be done before using NE2? My phone that I'm using my NE2 will be here Wednesday, so would I use this first? How would this work for me?

Thanks.
