to be eligable for an early upgrade does the primary line have to be above $50 or do both of them have to be above $50? so like if you have two lines, are both eligable to upgrade in a year

just the primary

lines are always treated separately

in a $69.99 plan, the primary is $60 and all secondaries are $9.99

For lines of service to qualify for early upgrades, they must meet several requirements:

For My Account enrolled customers:
1) Line of service must have been on a price tier of $49.99 or higher for at least the last 3 months
2) Completed at least 12 months of the original equipment contract
3) Account must be in good standing (no past due balances)
4) Renew for another 2 years

For customers who are not enrolled:
1) Line of service must be Merits enrolled (enrollment is an automatic process which only occurs at the beginning of each quarter), which means the price tier must be at least $59.99 or higher
2) Completed at least 12 months of the original equipment contract
3) Account must be in good standing (no past due balances)
4)...

I have to say I'm very impressed with you and your information. It's nice to know there are reps out there that care and know the correct info. 🙂

Ok so my sister and I are on a family plan...she has the $80 part and I have the $10 part....We are My Account members...so if she wants to upgrade 1 yr from the day she got her phone she can @ what promotional pricing? OR she can wait 2 years and get an additional $100 off?

And I ($10) have to wait 2 years to get promotional pricing?

Also for my account I signed up under my phone number...does that mean we are BOTH my account members or does she have to sign up to?

I think you pretty much have it right. The promotional pricing is 2 year promotional pricing. And yes, if the waits the full 22months she would get NE2, otherwise she will be giving that up.

I think as long as you signed up you are good. Can you see her line when you log in to my account? I really don't think that's a requirement for annual upgrade. I know it's listed like that but they seem to give it to everyone. We just make sure the customer is a primary line or line $49.99 and above and at least 12 months since last upgrade. If that's true we call in and it's approved. That's how it works at an indirect store.

It actually is a requirement to be enrolled in the My Account online. However, I have yet to have a rep ask if the customer is enrolled. They just approve the ap.
