Verizon has been my wireless carrier for many years now, and I have had them all. So I have to ask why does Verizon drag their feet on good phones?
I don't want to complain, I just want to throw this thought out there. I have a E815, this phone is now 2+ years old, and it is still, hands down the best phone Verizon came to market with in a very long time.
So why after 2+ years, is there nothing that is comparable to the E815? I want a new phone, but the selection is terrible.
Just my thoughts.

I too have an E815 and feel the same way about it as you do. Unless they come up with a very similar phone in a thin body, I have no desire to trade mine for any other phone. If it ain't broke, why fix it?

The LG VX8300, while slightly larger and less hackable, has the same killer reception and features as the e815... it replaced the Motorola as my most popular phone.

The e815 was not a good phone for me. itap is ridiculous, the menu was really not that easy to use, and I didnt find the reception to be that great...atleast not any better or worse than my LG 8300. I used the phone for two months, then switched back to an audiovox 9900.
People seem to love the e815 and I just don't really know why...the 8300 is a much better phone and I would take it over the 815 any day of the week!
Just my two cents..

I am sure the 8300 is a good phone as well, but that phone is pretty old as well. And there in lies my point. We need to see new phones that are just as solid as the E815 and the 8300.
...
yeah, you're right. I would totally agree with that statement. Im sure an update to the 8300 will be out this summer...and moto does have the v325, which isn't quite as advanced at the 815, but apparently it's a pretty solid phone.

I completely agree. I had an E815, and I went through a few warranty replacements in the first year before I gave up and bought an LG VX8600 at full retail. It was a total piece of crap. I don't know why everybody loves them so much. Chrager issues, text issues, power-cycling issues, they turn off randomly in the middle of your call...every E815 that I had dealt with these issues.

LG 8300 --> much better phone.

This is a completely subjective post.
I have had 6 phones in the past 2 years and all of them were quite good.
Lets count them down:
Treo 650
enV
u740
Nokia 6256i
LG 8300
Moto RZR (didn't like it)
I have also tried the 8600 but gave it to my daughter.
