Possibly mid April. It just showed up on the CLA packaging if that means anything.

well, for some reason it's still not showing up in the website, or in the stores. but as an employee it's showing up in our database, and through our warehouse avaiblable for direct fullfill. i haven't yet actually ordered one yet because nobody knows that it's out yet. don't be mistaken, some markets may launch before the others, i'll keep you guys updated when i find out. i just got an email the other day informing me of a merchandising change for a new phone called the vx8700, so we'll see how it goes over the next few days.

this phone _looks_ exactly like a razr, but not as thin.

I wonder how long till moto files a "look and feel" lawsuit...

what were they thinking?

I would be upset to, if I were moto, and someone came out with 2 phones, that are as thin as the Razr, namely the LG VX8600, and LG VX8700, but actually better, better features, and have less returns to the store because of problems

I just bought my wife the 8600 (which she _LOVES_), and plan to do the same for myself (or maybe the 8700) but come on, look at the pictures of the razr and the 8700 side by side. with the exception of the different shape outer display, they are _identical_, right down to the coloring of the rubber bumper dots and the pattern of the keypad.

the 8600 looks nothing like a razr. the 8700 looks like a badly photoshopped razr photo.

wouldn't stop me from buying it if it's a good phone though.

One could say the same thing about how Motorola copied the design of the Europe's LG VX8600 version with the krazor. Motorola never had the black glossy design with touch mp3 player screens until LG came out with their's. This can go back and forth. The real issue to me, is which phone is better. Not trying to debate, who copied whom.

really ? they make a brushed metal razr with a sideways display on the front that fades and blends into the phone? YOu can't call every single thin phone a clone, then they would all be garbage like the razr

Actually its all around smaller then the Razr

8700- 3.82H x 1.95W x 0.54D inches

Razr- 3.86H x 2.08W x 0.57D inches

PLUS its not Motorola garbage

Actually I held it in the store today and I would have to say I think it might be slightly thinner than the RAZR. Not saying it's better because the phone I held was just a dummy phone, but it is definitely pretty nice feeling.

According to specs, battery sucks. 200 min talk. How about a good 'smart-phone'. All the good stuff is overseas.;

It looks like it would be no better than the 8600.
