--------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------

my husband bought service with verizon wireless only because his boss has it. he returned the equipment under 14 days. he paid cash for the equipment and they told him you will get a check back in 3-5 business days. so we waited the 3-5 business days. did the check ever come, yea right! i emailed the president Denny Strigl about this and received a call back from one of his associates. She told me she would look into it and get back to me. by the time she had contacted me it had been a month and a half and still no check. and yet i still am waiting on a phone call back from his associate. Finally last week the check arrived after waiting 2 1/2 months for it. ...

Kinda surprising that you didn’t use a credit card because if you did you would have an easier time of getting your money back. With cash, it is a little bit harder to prove because they can say basically too bad. I would call up again and let them know of your problem with the check and see if they can issue a new one. Curious how much was it?

Come on Nextel. I may not agree on your theories of Data. But you and i both know that Verizon Wireless did not send out a check that bounced.

Well, yea, but let us let nici0828 think that Verizon does not have the funds.

Maybe it might make nici0828 happier.

Verizon does not send checks in 3-5 days, more like 4-6 WEEKS, I havea feeling you were dealing with a bad agent.

Emailed the president and got a call back from an associate. That gave it away for me. That and well, everything else in the story.

As a corporate VZW employee in a retail store, we return LIKE for LIKE, Cash for Cash, Check for Check and Charge for Charge.

I believe your FACTS are not correct. Were you in an agent/dealer location or a corporate location. A dealer can set their own policies and checks from VZW do NOT bounce.

They said they paid cash, yet they're expecting a check. It's obviously a made up story.

well, if the check did indeed bounce, which I highly doubt, make sure you charge verizon $30 for the check return charge. 😁

If this did occur then yes it HAD to be an indirect dealer or sub-dealer. They will sometimes send checks to avoid refunding all there available cash in the cash drawer...Verizon is NOT broke!!!

as well as everyone else this is made up. vzw is not out of money either you were dealing with an indirect agent or you made up the entire story which i believe to be the case.
