The Government does even want Sprint anymore

Im curious as to what Nextel18 has to say about this. This is a huge contract. And for a person who touts Sprint as the greatest data company. Apparently the government doesnt think so.

No the article is about Verizon wireless, AT&T and Qwest securing a government contract. And Sprint getting left in the dust. I put in my first post that the government DOES want. When i meant to say DOESNT.

Yea, this is a blow to Sprint, but last year their government telecom deals were $325 million, which is only 1% of Sprint’s overall revenue ($41B), so in some aspects it is horrible to lose such a potential huge contract but based on those numbers it is not such a big deal. There is some hope for the Sprint camp as there will be another contract that Sprint could win access and this deal basically offers high capacity fiber optic infrastructure and services like VOIP and IP television. Sprint is obviously building out that Wimax network which probably could get them the victory in this second contract.

If they lose both contracts then that becomes a problem because it shows that the government now is losing faith in the company, but if t...
