Audiovox CDM 9900
In the area of country that I am in (Tucson, Az.) all the stores are out of stock of the 9900. I called VZ and they said they were also out of stock at the distribution center. Qusstion: If the current promotion for this phone ends on 10/11 will VZ extend it as there are no phones available?

Not likely for two reasons. Number one, the reason they are out of the phones is because the promotion is so good. I'm not sure why they included the 9900 in it when just having the 8910 would have been a great promotion on its own, plus they won't have any trouble selling the 9900 for even a lot higher price. Number two, the new rebates are coming out on October 12th, which means there will probably be one for the 9900 at that point. On a side note for anyone who cares, there will be no more $70 rebates on anything. The highest will be $50.

I'll tell you this guys. I am happy with this phone. I have waited day by day for it since last MARCH. Many of us had given it up for lost, there were very convincing rumors of cancellation, all kinds of nonsense appeared on the CDM-9900 forum right here at phone scoop from March 2004 thru September 2004.
Now it's here and I jumped on it the FIRST DAY and got for FREE, via the New every Two, and another 2 year agreement. To those of you who did not get this phone under the introduction promotion price, take heart. You saw the other thread here. There will be another promotion shortly, and the difference will probably be only be $20.00 , in the long run no big deal.
Just do your self a favor, if you really want this phone don't screw aroun...

Its a great phone, not the best video of the 3 video phones we have, its the worst. But it takes the BEST pix. even better than the 710. Only thing i dont like about it is that its not very durable, only takes 1 drop. Insurance anyone?

The VX6000 takes better pictures than the V710. The camera quality on that phone is atrocious.
