Question (PDA's) Verizon vs. Cingular

RPG825

Apr 10, 2007, 5:13 PM
I've currently have been a customer at Verizon for about 6 years now. After the iphone and a few other phones I have been thinking of switching to another carrier. If I were to switch I was looking at AT&T of whatever it is called now. I'm not to familiar with the services and plans so I was wondering if that would be a good idea or not.

I'm in the market for a pDA/blackberry and Verizon doesn't have to seem much. Are any new ones coming out anytime soon? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Their PDA's sucks (except for the 3125 & the Treo 750). I speak as a Current Verizon user & a Cingular/at&t employee.

I tought the blackberry pearl and the 6800 were coming to verizon. Those both seem liek they will be solid additions to the line up. The 6700 was an excellant pda if size was nt an issue for you. Otherwise try out the palm 700P(palm verzion) very nice

If I were you I'd hold out for the libra and tytn. cingular currently has the 8525 which is the tytn however there 3g footprint for high speed is smaller than VZ.

The tytn from what i have read will be slimmer than the cingular version and looks like it may have windows mobile 6 already installed.

the libra is a highly anticipated device as it will have a standard keypad as well as a slide out full keyboard. it will feature the smartphone version of windows mobile which is a benefit if you dont need anything like a touchscreen or more powerful processor for multitasking.

Both will have a-gps which will allow you to have navigation without an additional adapter like cingular requires.

The i-phone is pretty cool...
