non-camera phone choice?
what is the best phone out for vzw (or coming) w/o camera? oh... and trimode for analog too?

Depends on what you're looking for. I'd say if you want a no-nonsense, gets-good-service with minimal bells and whistles phone, I'd say get the Nokia 6015i. If you want a flip with a few more goodies, try out the LG 4500.

I saw the Motorola V260 today. It's just like the Moto V265, but no camera. It should be out in a few weeks. (guess) I wish I remembered if it is tri-mode or not....?

If you want a very basic but good tri-mode phone with a speaker phone, check out the LG VX-3200. I don't own it but I know a few people who do and they really like it. The only downside is it's a flip phone that doesn't have a caller ID display on the outside, but if that doesn't matter to you, I'd give it a shot! I have yet to find the perfect phone, one that has all the features I want but without all the extras I don't need!
