texting internationaly

a friend told me that verizon does not allow texting to/from internationaly.

is this true?

International texting is definitely allowed. They charge $0.25 per text sent/received

since international texting is allowed, how will it be handles with te $30 unlimited txt msging option in the new family plans. will it be included or additional?
