enV upgrade?
Hi everyone,
has anyone heard any rumors of a new version of the enV? I know the enV is awesome, but I'm wondering if they'll release the "next generation" enV that supports 1x EVDO Rev A, supports VCast TV, and has an HTML browser.

I was actually wondering the same thing. The env is a great phone, and I think the next generation will really be the pinnacle for this phone!

Yeah I can't tell if those posts were real or not either. So far basically everything I've heard about the enV has been VERY positive (except for some minor problems here and there - but no phones are perfect). I am 95% convinced to upgrade to the enV when the day arrives.
However, I got the VX8000 when it came out; and the VX8100 with Bluetooth and a slimmer design, and other great features came out like three months later. I'm not complaining about the 8000 - it's a great phone, but if I get the enV, I don't want the same thing to happen - where an upgraded, better version of the enV comes out that maybe has high-speed EVDO Revision A capability (for tethering), VCast TV function, and maybe even an HTML browser like the sidekick has....

Most VZW phones will never have full OBEX. That would give you the ability to send the game you just purchased from VZW Get It Now to a friend for free. Then VZW won't make the $10 off of your friend. Its all about the $$$$$$ since VZW is NOT a non-profit comapany.

When our LG guy had training with us about the Voyager and Venus the question was asked, "Is the Voyager the replacement for the enV"? And he said NO, that there would be an upgraded enV release sometime in the first quarter of 2008.
