The Mobile Web will use your airtime. It's unlimited if you have VCast or something else on your plan.
The GIN game might use airtime. Go back to the game description in GIN, and it will tell you: Airtime Required for Use. If it doesn't say that, it won't use your airtime.

I have a text plan on my account do you happen to know if that would count as the something else?
I check the game it says nothing about air time so I guess I'm fine there.

No, a text package isn't linked to Mobile Web. It has to be VCast or Mobile-TV or some equivalent.
