Does VzW charge to change number to new area code?
If it matters, no porting is involved; this is a new number.

Theres are prorations in changing the # and you might incur overages depending on how many minutes the old # has used up until the change. Here's an example of how prorations work. Let say for easy math the calling plan is $40 for 400 minutes and the bill cycle date is the 1st. If you change your # on the 16th(which is approx half way through your cycle), on the next bill you will see a charge of $20 and a day time allowance of 200 for the days you used the old # since you only used it for half a month; for the new # you will see the same thing, the cost of the plan still equals $40 but the minutes are split in 2 halfs and if you use more than 200 minutes in...
