Push to talk
has anyone heard anything on what phones will be released for the push to talk i am a radioshack employee and our rep said they should be coming out within a month or two i was just wondering which phones besides samsung690 would have ptt and by the way i have a motorola v710 and its the baddest phone on the planet!!! bitch

Four phones mentioned with a possibility of another. I believe they are all on the site under their own company. An ugly Moto, an inexpensive Kyo and a couple in the mid range like the LG4700. When it comes, it will be alot better offering than the first time.

Unless a major improvment has been made to their PTT technology, which I doubt, their system will suffer from the same latency issues as it did when it first launched.

Well, VZW isn't going to release more phones and promote the service until their sure it's working the way it should. It didn't work very well the first time and there's a perfectly good explination why. VZW was ready to launch Push to Talk when they did. If you think about it, it make perfect sense why they rushed it. 11/03 of last year Local Number Portability happened and VZW wanted to lay claim on some of Nextel's unsatisfied. If I know VZW like I think I do, the next time they push Push to Talk, it'll work great. I've heard rumors that's it's right around the corner. Peace!! 😎
