Recommendation: handset for wireless stereo bluetooth

I am a frustrated loyal Verizon customer 🤤 . I returned my KRZR last week because Verizon told me that it would work with my new bluetooth stereo headphones. It does not!

I walked out of the store with the LG Chocolate, which on the surface seems like a nice, quality, feature-filled phone. It is, but it has "issues." Specifically bluetooth kinda stalls at times; the thumb wheel is cumbersome/troublesome; and the keypad buttons are difficult to use. I shall return this unit also.

The problem becomes which of Verizon's offerings will provide this funcationality. My research has uncvered basically 4 phones, and I'm looking for some practical opinions on usability per the following 3 basic requirements: (1) good battery life, ...

chgomaverick,

I recently purchased the LG-VX9400 and I LOVE IT. The texting takes a little getting used to (navigation below keys as opposed to above). I have not tried stereo bluetooth as I am holding out for the Motorola s9 headset to come out. As far as music on it, you can drag and drop songs onto the microSD (2gb max) or, when drivers/programs are updated to vista you would be able to do it that way. I have also converted DVDs over to .3g2 and play them on the phone and because of the mobileTV feature, they look awesome. I have been getting 2 days out of the battery with heavy text and phone calls on it. I currently use the holster for the phone and I find it very comfortable. I hope this helps, if you have any other question feel fr...

You could always try the Razr maxx. It has stereo bluetooth. Not so sure about the interface or the functionality of the music player, but its still a sleek looking phone with the playback keys near the bottom of the external screen.

i have the 9900 and love it, if you want a music phone you might check it out because the battery is great. If you are looking for something smaller I would check out the 8600. I would recommend the 8700 but it lacks the music buttons on the front. The 8600 would have those as well as your stereo bluetooth. Might want to grab an extended batttery, but that goes for any of the slim phones.

I was just at another Verizon store. I was told by the clerk that 'some" of the earlier KRZRs don't do bluetooth music, but the new ones do... Somehow, I don't believe her... But it would be nice to know for sure. oes anybody know how to contact someone at Verizon to findout FOR SURE (1) whether the KRZR will support bluetooth MUSIC and (2) wen some new products are coming out that do???

You're better to assume that they don't. VZW reps are shady like that.

Get the EnV or the Q. They are both stereo bluetooth capable.

yea, I know. sorry for the attitude. But these people don't seem to know about their products at all.

Re the Q or enV, they're both nice, but too big. And I'm worried about theirage. The new phones "seem" to be arriving any day, but nobody knows forsure, nor do they know whaat tpe of bluetooth will be installed. I'm looking for A2DT specifically compatible with stereo music.

honestly as a verizon rep, go with either of the phones you listed. I currently have the 8600 and the 9400. And out of all the phones i've had and i've had them all trust me, the two i have now are the best for what they are. now if you use alot of music, the 8600 will need an extended battery. but the 9400, i can use almost non-stop for two days, that includes listening to music via bluetooth, textiing, calling and watching tv. this phone has the best battery life for a standard battery. and the phone's awesome overall.

my opinion, stay away from motorola. although the maxx might have improved, maybe motorola worked all the kinks out with the razor. New lg phones and samsung phones are the way to go.

True. I have an EnV & a Treo 700w. Despite the fact that stereo bluetooth headsets don't work on the 700w, is there any better combination?

Holly crap, get eh 8600 or 8700, however the 8600 has the play buttons on the front and the 8700 does not. In general Motos blow IMO. Otherwise the Max just came out, all of these models are setero bluetooth. Here is a chart
