IMO, iPhone costs too much and due to its high pricing, it won't be as popular as most would think..i mean, it'll be popular but it's like the ps3---way too much market price with more equipmnt for a lower price which can offer you almost the same functionality---almost

Isn't that what they are renaming the RIZR? At least for CDMA? No, neither MOTO or Cingy has learned any lessons.

What? the RIZR is the slider RAZR.

I thought that the ROKR and the RIZR were 2 different phones. The ROKR has iTunes and the RIZR doesn't. That's why it's the ROKR (rocker) and the RIZR is simply the riser. Cingular had the ROKR.

I can sense the bitterness...

ROKR = Horrorola
iPhone = Apple

Two different companies. Two different devices. The iPhone will sell.

3 words for you
Remember The RAZR?
(When it first came out that is) Not when it came out for Vz, but when Cingular first released it. Many claimed that it wouldn't sell, and it did! I sold plenty of them at the $500 price tag. The phone had nothing outrageous (VGA camera, no video capture, NOT EVEN EDGE!!!!) and guess what, it sold!

I have to agree with you dude! It just seems like everyone in this forum is hoping and preying for the device to fail. You do not have to hate b/c VZ is not going to get it. Even with its shortcomings, if this device was headed for VZ shelves, you would be salivating over it. Get over it, VZ has many good devices coming. Enjoy those and get over the iphone 😉

But thik about this, the iPhone is a high end piece of equipment---razr isn't a pda so there's a broader market which to sell it too. I see what you're saying about the price comparison but think of the users...do most people have pda's or phones? which market are there more mass consumers---high end users or general users?

well considering how well the Blackjack has sold, i guess you have killed your point. all you have to do is look at the blackjack; great looking device, great marketing, decent features, and $500 retail tag.

where are your numbers to back that claim? I haven't seen a person with the blackjack---but i did like their ad 🤣

As of a week or two ago there were 1/2M Blackjacks sold. And 1M SYNCs sold. That's more than 1% of customer base using 3G phones.

Common Sense, never, I repeat NEVER get the first edition of any ground breaking technology.

EXAMPLES

ROKR
WINDOWS 95, 2000, ME, VISTA
RAZR
such and so forth.

Just wait, the second edition and or second entity to come out with an improvement on the first release is the one to benefit most from the technology.

A v3m, however, is better on Amp'd or Alltel. I love Verizon, but I love them even more when they don't neuter phones.

What sells a product...? Publicity...good or bad..you know how many forums there are both bashing and praising the iphone. Just all this buz will sell it.Remember 400 million in free publicity it has received so far..just from us and spammers talking about it(http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/gadgets/iphone- generated-400-million-in-free-publicity-24322 2.php) As soon as Kids see celebrities with it on TV they will kill for one. Sidekick, Treo, Razr..all hits because they were highly visible on television. The media controls the world. Again its not marketed as a pda or to the business market its a Status phone...saying I have the most expensive phone i have arrived.
