rate hite in vzw fees
has anyone noticed that the fee for fed universal service charge went up about 25%.
this is a verizon fee as listed on the bill.

That fee changes every quarter based on the corrent FCC rate. Right now it's like 11.2 %.

When you're bills are around $350 month you don't look at the scraps of a couple of cents or a dollar or two.

Let's not forget employees get a 55% discount. I can only imagine my life without a discount.

Unfortunately yes... I wish it was prediscount. I have 3 family members with me who love to use their phone like no tommorrow.

Customers was notified in their Jan and Feb bill messages about these upcoming changes. It just goes to show you how many people actually read their bills.
Point remains though...VZW surcharges are still one the the lowest in the industry compared to the other major carriers. So, if you were with another carrier, you'd be paying more anyway.
Changes were as follows:
admin charge went from 40 to 70 cents and the regulatory charge decreased from 5 to 4 cents.
