anyone know the different data plans available? i tried to look for it on the website, but i kept going around and around on the site. i know of the $50 unlimited plan, but is there anything else? i thought there was a $20 plan with limited data.
the reason i ask is i'm looking to switch to a PDA/smartphone/blackberry type phone.
thanks!

Well there is the $49.99 plan unlimited and the $24.99 for 10meg. I think the price plans are to high. But if you plan on using a data you should get a plan. The cost is like 2.2 cents per kilo on a pay as you go plan. Very expensive that way.
You can get a PDA phone and not hook up the data. But a BlackBerry you would need to get the Data since it is looking for Data all the time.

I use Quick2Net on my Samsung i730.
It's slow
It uses minutes
it's unreliable
BUT IT'S FREE.
The reason I say it is unreliable is that for last night through most of today, I kept getting connection errors.
You get about 14.4 KBPS on it.
It works with Windows Mobile Pocket PCs, not sure about Palm OS and WM Smartphones. BlackBerry won't work with it.
If you want to know how to set it up I can tell you.

One question; when you say you're using Quick2Net on your i730, are you using it for tethering? Or for internet use on your PDA? That does seem to be rather slow and of course unreliable, but if you're able to do it for free, then that's pretty good.
That would be nice though if data wasn't so expensive. I though they 10meg plan was $10/month. I'd like to have the ability to use data when I want to, but really don't need it so much to justify paying so much a month for unlimited; or even an extra $25 for only 10 megs.

I recently went to the 700wx, and I got the unlimited data plan. I didn't want to pay for it either, but the data usage adds up quickly. If I were you, I would get the unlimited for a month or two to see how much you use it, and then switch to a lower plan if you don't use it much.

Ok Thanks for the recommendation!
