8700 question?

I was in a CC today trying to compare the 8700 to the Maxx. I know that it was a dummy phone but was instantly concerned with the scratch potential. I know that you should use a case but who wants to own a stylish new phone only to cover it us with an ugly case. I need a new phone and am trying to decide between the two. Thanks in advance.

8700, brushed aluminum...Maxx, cheap plastic.

You decide.

8700=nice, real thing feels very expensive high end. Will it scrach...no worse than any other phone, i would wager less but time will tell, but being brushed not flat metal i would imagine it hiding the scrathes better than a silver razr that holds up pretty good in scratch department.

Thanks for the reply. I saw all those scratches on the dummy phone and was concerned. I have liked the cosmesis of the Razr but did not like the hum in the ear piece from the inside display. I used a 8600 in the store and it had the same humming so just wondered if that happens with the 8700.
