? ON TERMINATING CONTRACT

OK, I am currently on my own contract with verizon but my dad and his family has a family share plan on T-Mobile. So, my dad said he will throw me on for free saving me $50 a month. I know T-Mobile sucks but this is free so I don't care. My contract ends in August, my question is, is there anyway to get out of my contract now without paying substantial fees? I thought they prorated your contract or something now. How much would it cost me to get out? I have had a VX8100 for the past 2 years and am just dying to get a new phone as soon as possible, I know my NE2 is up soon but i'm gonna be canceling my contract. Thanks for the help in advance.

The prorate only applies if you sign your contract after November 16, 2006.

So we're talking $175 for you.

Just let your dad add you now and do a port to change your T-Mobile phone number after you're done with your VZW contract.

You could do like this guy says or if you don't care about the phone number. Have your dad hook you up now so you can get a new phone like you want. Then just let your contract expire sure you will need to pay your normal bill until August.

because the terms of YOUR contract do not have prorates...you could have signed a new agreement after Nov. and then you would have had the prorated ETF...

The contract you signed didn't have prorated ETF unfortunately.
