Saw it in a VZW store but I can't find it on the website.
What are the coverage plans for this phone? Is there a map on the VZW website?
Will it work in Mexico and the Caribbean? Can the GSM part of the phone be unlocked? I'm aware it doesn't operate on US GSM Freqs.
I'm looking to possibly buy this, a 9900, and a V710. Do you think I'll be able to get a discount? All at full retail.

Phones have nothing to do with coverage plans. You can pretty much get any plan on any phone.

So you're saying that even tho the 790 has an overseas option there is no seperate/special plan for it?

I know of no plans like that. The only plan Verizon really has is the North America plan which includes limited areas of Canada and Mexico. I saw just yesterday that you can also use a Verizon phone in one or two other places that have CDMA. As far as somewhere else I don't think so.

You're right... I forgot about that. There is only one phone that is the global phone though. It's pretty ugly too.

stores will not be carrying the 790 anytime soon, it has to be ordered through our business channel since they have sold it since may, its not the easiest thing to order, i've been trying and as far as GSM, we provide you with a SIM card depending on where you will be traveling overseas

Depending on your market your store may or may not carry it. The business channel will handle this phone.
Also, there is a new Moto GSM/CDMA handset being released soon exactly like the V710 (just with GSM also). I do not recall the model number... perhaps PhoneScoop will give us info on this soon since I've ALREADY seen it in action on VZW's system.
