3rd party dealers and plans

do some 3rd party dealers not have ability to sell the family share plan everyone-has-IN-network calling? alot of the 3rd party websites I see state that the IN netowrk is only on the primary line. ?

outdated info. If it's sold under the Verizon name, then we all use the same plans... I think Immex is a VZW reseller (they make their own plans, but the service is re-branded VZW) but they are the only "reseller" I can think of ATM.

their plan states the unlimited in network calls are only on the primary line. Is this just outdated and all vzw americas choice family plans, no matter where bought will be unlimited in-network? or can they still set up the account the old way?

I think everyone uses the same plans gmc, but ask the 3rd party directly to be sure.

Side note on 3rd parties if you're considering going with them: They're great for getting discontinued stuff or getting phones for cheaper (got my Samsung 530 for $60 w/a 1 yr contract, i.e. a steal), but their one major drawback is that if you cancel your plan early you pay a cancellation fee not only to Verizon ($175), but to the 3rd party agent as well (could be $200 or more). Their definition of an early cancel may not be the same as Verizon's though (for my 3rd party its cancelling in the first 6 months, whereas for VZW its anytime during the contract, in my case a year).

Apparently this is the dark side of getting the phone for cheap and all the...

I work for a third party dealer, one of the good ones. Make sure that when you go to a 3rd party dealer, they are up front with you about any extra cencellation fees. The reputable ones will have you sign something stating that you know that there is an additional fee.

Also be carefull about some of the 3rd party dealers on line. I have heard of some that add a monthly charge to your bill, on top of your monthly fee paid to your carrier.

Just some friendly advice. Remember that most of us 3rd party guys are good guys

180 days before VZW pays the "commission" ($250 generally) We have the same thing... cancel in the first 6 months and we send TeleCheck after your butt for $250. 🙂
