Loving this EVDO and tethering while on the road!

whats up guys..

So i'm driving up in my car right now from Florida to Massachusetts and I had the $60 Broadband Access tethering feature added to my account for the week. Im not sure who of you have used it before but it is amazing.
I have my Macbook Pro connected via my 8300's bluetooth and it feels like I'm at home just surfing the web. After a week I'll have it taken off so it will only cost $15!

😁

I thought the only 30 day trial right now was for VCast? I didn't know they had the Broadband Access free for 30 days, when I called Tech last week asking about a Mobile Office Kit for my En-V they said nothing about it, just said it was gonna cost me $59.99.

I just called the Data team.......they confirmed there is a 30 day trial......but tell me this...why is it that a data support rep has NO CLUE what you need to tether an en-v to a laptop? He seriously put me on a 15 minute hold to go look it up. WAKE UP DUMB@$$!! How does he support when he don't even know. Do yall just sit infront of scripts all day long, are you seriously not educated????

If that is true I need to call them up and have them fix that for me! I would love to keep it for a month if it were free. That sounds like something only if you signed a new 2 yr with a wireless card though?

Can anyone else confirm this?

It is free for a month, no contract required as it is an additional feature that you can add and remove to your little hears content. I went round and round with them to be sure that is correct. They said that the 30 days is free and after that you can do whatever with it, just like VCast! Sweet!!

Be sure you are specifying that it is the free Broadband Access Connect for tethering.......it's different than doing the aircard on a separate line.

You were probably talking to someone in the wrong group and if you are an agent you have ways to get into the system to get to groups directly that customers dont.
The people you would want to talk to for information is just the basic customer service rep, if you are talking to someone that does troubleshooting, he isnt going to be working with the billing side so might not even know where to look to get the info on the free trial.

Also if you call in and pick the option for support you may end up directly with tech support and thus bypass the people that are going to answer questions about plans and services.

I hear ya. That's why I got a Q again, to prepare myself for when I get a laptop.
