Treo 700vx or 700p?

DANSOD

May 6, 2007, 7:21 AM
One week before my upgrade and I have narrowed it down to a Treo.

I am a windows computer user, but does that matter when it comes to a PDA? Will synching be easier? Will daily usage be easier?

Thank you for all your help and advice.

Windows Mobile is more powerful than Palm, but it wync the same info, just in a different way (Palm uses Palm Desktop, and Windows Mobile uses ActiveSync).

So I would say Windows, but the i730 or 6700 are much better phones than the 700wx.

I'd go 700p...but I use a mac. The i730 is outdated, and i hate the style of the 6700, and its soon to be outdated as well.

Go for the treo and good luck!

Although I'd make the 6700 my PDA choice if I could do it over again, The 700wx will be good, as long as they removed the slowness of it's previous model {700w}.

I owned a 650 for a little bit and now own a i730. I like Windows Mobile much more. The i730 is the best phone I ever bought!

I work for Tier 3 tech support for verizon we take more calls on the w and the wx Than any other pda besides the q. The p is a good phone and will sync well with a windows computer using hotsync. The 6700 is ok to but still have a few more calls on it than we do the 700 p. The pda with fewest issues that we see in the call center here is with the I730 but as stated before it is becoming outdated. What I would do is utilize the 15 day worry free guarantee and try different devices and see what works best for you.

I thought the Worry Free Guarantee was changed to 30 days instead of 15 days?
So which guarantees are 15 days and which are 30 days?

We {Verizon users} are 30 days.

15 days is for testing the device or the service if you dont like it in the first 15 days you can cancel your contract without penalty or get a new different device after 15 days you cant cancel your contract but if your device breaks then you can take it back and get a brand new same device. Then there is the 30 day test drive if someone ports to verizon they have 30 days to try the service if they dont like it they can port back out within the 30 days and verizon will cover the cost of any voice minutes used but not data or downloads and they will also let you cancel the contract in that 30 days no penalty this is called the 30 day test drive but only for customers that port to verizon. Test Drive for New Customers Starts March 26th
