Samsung a990
Does anybody know how much longer this phone is going to be available? Or if there is going to be a replacement model? I know it's been out for a while. I currently have the VX8600, which is a great phone, but I'm interested in the a990 for the camera quality. Maybe there are some other phones on the horizon that have the 3.2 megapixel camera...? I still have a while to wait which is why I'm curious how long it will be available.

I have other things to spend that money on right now. I agree that the a990 is an awesome phone, and I'd like to get it. It's also been out for quite a while. Do you know if it's going to be on the market for a while? Or if there are any rumors of an update?

It's currently listed in VZW as a phaseout device so it will be available untill the stock is depleted. The phone is great but there aren't alot of folks lining up to drop 299.99 at 2yr pricing (that was the price last I checked) so you'll still have time to pick one up if you can't rush to get it now. Camera wise the 2mp cameras will be the new standard (in U.S. that is 😢 ). You may see a 3.2 mp here and there but I haven't heard anything in the immediate future. In reference to the update to the phone, no rumors yet.
