Where're your phones at?
Now, the fact that HSDPA won over EV-DO is astonishing! Because you know, most people in this forum and in the Sprint forum claim that Cingular's HSDPA network is so "crappy" 🙄

I think it's funny that the Sony Ericsson K800i won even though it's only available in the US as an unlocked phone.
I'm curious what the average population would think of phones as opposed to a site that has an obvious GSM crowd. I won't deny that GSM offers more toys and gadgets. The general population doesn't want or need that stuff though. I'd be more interested in something without such a slanted audience.

Oh no, poor Beach. Still upset that Verizon 'Beach-Slapped' ATT/Cingular in net adds and churn and revenue... again. What's a GSM shill to do? 😉
That's what you gotta luv 'bout the good ol' US of A... CDMA is #1, GSM is #2. 😎

Can I get an Amen!
I really don't know how much longer you guys want to fool yourselves about the advantages of GSM. Seriously, get over it. It's better, more people choose it, it has the best phones. That's how it's always been, and how it will always be! Period.
Now in comes the retail metric that you guys conveniently never talked about until VZW because #1 in that.
Just wait until VZW becomes #1 in total customers. This way, you won't cheapen the victory. It'll be much sweeter this way, trust me. 😉

I'm just wondering what the Cing/ATT guys will do when that happens. Will their heads explode? 😳
They seem really invested in the whole "We're #1" thing, when really, other things are more important, like keeping your customers happy (churn, customer service, etc.).

Didn't Cingular "Beach-Slapped" the red check mark on Q4 of '06? How quickly we forget huh? You guys were NOT rejoicing back then...
LOL. You guys are 2-8 vs Verizon since the merger, and you still wanna try to talk smack? Too funny. 🤣

Not in America, they don't. More CDMA users than GSM, ace. 😉
In any case, not a big deal. ATT will lose #1 in about a year, and then you can go to the T-Mobile forum and argue about who's 'more GSM than thou'. Woohoo! 😁
Now leemee alone, I got the f...

heh, what are you thinking? VZW was rejoicing back then.. you think anyone at VZW wasnt happy with the 4Q2006 results when cingular got beat in net adds by tracfone?
That has to be one of the biggest jokes of all time.
I dont remember the exact numbers, but didnt cingular get about half the netadds of VZW that quarter? pretty sure cingular only had 750k, with tracfone having 800k and VZW at 1.2mil
And what exactly is the great difference that you see in the available handsets for GSM and CDMA currently?
Not sure which side of this dispute is more retarded. Maybe BeachSlapped for trying to rub in a perceived 'victory' on account of the initial message being a blatant troll. But not by much.
Seriously. I work in wireless, but I do not 'get' this behaviour. I do not get the fanatacism. I do not get the need to boast about every single little benchmarks. Do these statistics REALLY give you all that much affirmation? Because that'd be terribly sad if it were the case. I certainly can't see how these repugnant pissing contests could possibly impress a customer.
