People With Dumb Questions ***READ***
I have worked at a verizon retail store for six years now in the buffalo area. I read phone scoop all the time but this is my first post. I have read many posts that are complaining about VZW. Honestly, here is what I think.
1. VZW IS A GREAT COMPANY TO WORK FOR!! AND, I AM PROUD TO WORK THERE!!
2. YES, WE USUALLY DO NOT HAVE THE BEST PHONES OR THE LATEST AND GREATEST BUT WE HONESTLY ARE THE MOST RELIABLE.
4. OUR IN STORE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE BEST WITHOUT A QUESTION TO MANY OTHER RETAIL STORES, NOT JUST WIRELESS.
5. OUR LEADERS LEAD US TO WHERE WE NEED TO GO AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE BEST.
Guys.. I am really not just saying this as a corporate robot. I am being completely honest.

Well, I don't know what is up with VZW "leadership" right now. They just made us NE and NE "leadership" is a joke. They didn't make the transition smooth...overlooked alot of easy details. We are getting so squeezed financially that the only recourse is to pay the frontline people less. But then, what would seperate us from wally world? Their bonuses are now a joke. They are blatanly shafting the agents on phones. I now make less on a PDA then a W315! And the PDA will take alot of labor! So which will I want to sell now? They took away nice reward programs for selling data.
So in other words, they are a freaking joke and I am exploring other employment options.
1. This is a vzw.com question, but it still applies, because that's part of Verizon. If we use Fed-Ex for all of our deliveries, why does the website check your address against the Post Office database, rather than the Fed-Ex database?
2. Why are DUN and OBEX disabled? Is there a reason besides Verizon wanting to charge as much as possible per customer, regardless of their phone's capabilities (which is part of the purchase price?) In other words, why would Verizon disable any feature or function of a phone when the customer is the one paying for the phone?
