I currently own a LG VX-7000, and i would like to trade it in for a V710. Now how would this work and how much would i get credit for the VX-7000?

Thanks,
Cypher

That I'm aware of Verizon does not have a trade in policy. They have New Every 2 (new phone or $100 credit every 2 years with a new two year contract), but they do not take trade ins.

There is no trade in policy with VZW. You can exchange equipment within 15 days of purchase. Maybe if you purchased the phone at a reseller things might be different, but not with a corperate store.

Trade in value = $0. Verizon doesn't do trade-ins. We don't want your beat-up handset. Go peddle it on eBay.

I take that back, we do OCCASIONALY take trade ins - anybody remember the drive associated with the Motorola T720? You got a $100 MIR if you sent in a working handset.

At any rate, there aren't any V710s available right now, I don't think. They all got pulled from the warehouses so Motorola could redo the cameras. The new ones have a 'blue dot' on top of the box, and I haven't seen any yet.

Thanks for your replies, but i also have another question...I switched over to Verizon from T Mobile, and I know for T-Mobile when you get a new phone you just put the chip in the new phone. How does it work for verizon? So I call them and they deactivate my phone or what? Then, once I get my new phone I do the same?
Thanks

There is no chip in the Verizon phones. As far as activation the phone... they just put the new ESN in to the system and you are pretty much active. You will then have to either put your contacts in the new phone or go to a store and get a phone book transfer done.
