i found a samsung sch-a670 on the street and no, i didn't steal it. my current is dying. 1) how can i replace my phone with the samsung?

You can take it to any VZW store any they can put it onto the system. Be aware: not saying you stole it, but if it somes up stolen in the system, they will not activate it. As for the password: Samsung's default password is not "1234". It will automatically set to the last 4 digits of your phone number once it hits OTA.
